Join NavTrek for a guided walk on Helvellyn, in association with the conservation charity the John Muir Trust. The John Muir Trust has been caring for Helvellyn and the surrounding Glenridding Common since 2017, maintaining its 22km of paths, restoring habitats for nature, and engaging with visitors and the local community.
The walk will take in some of the best-loved landmarks of England’s third highest mountain – such as Red Tarn, the summit of Helvellyn and Swirral Edge – where you will learn the natural and cultural history of this iconic landscape. Discover how the John Muir Trust is working to make this an incredible place for people and nature, and what the work in this corner of the Lake District means for our wider environment.
This will be a full day on the mountain, the route will be around 14-15km with 925 meters of ascent and descent therefore a good level of fitness will be required.
Please note that the ticket fee for attending this event will be passed on as a donation to the John Muir Trust and is therefore non-refundable.
